Cassie Tool Diffusion
The Contingency Action Plan for Coastal Erosion Processes (PCEC), developed by the Government of the State of Ceará, used the CASSIE tool to perform a technical diagnosis of the coastal strip. The diagnosis provides a comprehensive view of coastal erosion in the state, based on recent analyses of coastline dynamics. The initiative combines science and public management to support preventive actions and adaptation strategies, contributing to the protection of sensitive ecosystems and communities that depend on fishing, tourism and other coastal activities.
The Cassie platform was widely publicized during the 20th Latin American Congress of Marine Sciences (COLACMAR 2024) / 8th Brazilian Congress of Oceanography (CBO 2024), held in Itajaí, SC, during the third week of August 2024. With a booth present every day of the event, visitors were able to get to know Cassie’s features up close and ask questions directly to our team.
At the booth, a demonstration video was continuously running, showing all of Cassie’s modules in action, which attracted the attention of attendees. In addition, there was a space where visitors had the opportunity to use the platform, with direct support from our team, who were available to offer assistance and answer questions. The Cassie booth received a lot of visitors at the event, standing out as an innovative tool of great interest to the scientific community present.
In addition to the stand, a mini-course was offered, exclusively for registered participants, where participants had the opportunity to learn how to use the platform in a practical way.
